At long last, the Sister Location plush toys have been released. These toys have been long awaited by fans, including myself. When I found these toys at the Wal-Mart, the characters available to purchase were Baby, Ballora, Funtime Freddy, Funtime Foxy, and Bonnet. There was no Ennard (to my disappointment!) so this character more than likely has not arrived to the store yet or has not been sent out to Wal-Mart. In the end, I decided to purchase Baby since she is one of the most iconic characters in Sister Location.
My first impression of this plush toy is that she is very different from the traditional style that Funko has been following for their FNAF plush toys. Her eyes are sewn in and small rather than being big and sticking out from the face. Her arms and legs are smaller, thinner, and longer than the normal Five Nights at Freddy’s style of plushie. However, she is just as soft as the previous ones released and has her own attributes that makes her just as great.
Baby’s material is very soft, and her bottom half seems to be filled with little beads rather then plush material. It seems that with this round of plushies, Funko was aiming to make them look more accurate to the series rather than being overly cute. The Sister Location plush toys certainly have more of a sense of accuracy in appearance, more so than the previous rounds of plushies released. This is something new for the series, and I appreciate something fresh and original. For me personally, this aspect is a positive.
My one big critique would be the proportions of the Baby plush toy. Her head seems to be a bit too big in comparison to the body, arms, and legs, which throws the entire plush toy off a bit. However, it does not throw it off enough to make it look extremely awkward. It still is an accurate plushie, I just find that the proportions are just slightly off.
The plush toy seems to be made very sturdy and is not going to rip or tear easily. I have always found the quality of Funko’s Five Nights at Freddy’s plush toys to be spectacular, so this was no surprise to me.
Out of all the Sister Location plush toys available for now, Baby’s character design is one of my favorites. Out of what I have seen, my top three favorite plush toy character designs have been Baby, Ballora, and Bonnet.
Overall, the Baby plush in the Sister Location series by Funko is a solid toy. It is well made and its presentation is wonderful. The next thing to keep our eyes out for is when the Ennard plush toy is in stock, since that was the one I was looking forward to the most. For now, the Baby plush toy is wonderful and worth the purchase.
